The Meteorite Necklace

The Meteorite Necklace is a medium silver chain interrupted by small poligonal shapes.
The entire piece is handmade in sterling silver.
I started to sculped the meteorites in wax. After that I made a rubber mold and then injected it in silver. After that I composed this pieces in the silver chain and completed the piece.
The acabments with sandblasting give special relevance to the edges of the poligons

Cell Necklaces

This Cell Necklace is a 'one of a kind' necklace from the "Cells" series.
This piece is completely handmade in silver, paper and resin.
I started making the exterior structure of the piece in silver. Inside I used a manual paper covered with a translucent resin that gives profundity and brightness to the paper details.
Finally I completed the piece with a sterling silver chain and gave the acabments with a sand paper.

Meteorits and pearls

These necklaces are delicate and feminin statement pieces that combine the pale color of the silver with the lush color of the red / green silk wire and the champagne / green pearl.
The meteorite it's totally made in silver. I started to sculpt it in wax, made a rubber mold of it and then injected the mold in silver.
The result is a geometrical and massive silver piece that combines the aggressive look of the edges with the gentle bright of the brushed silver over a matte color.

The lenght of the complete necklace is 45 cm.

I started to make the four filigree leaves and fill them with the technique called scale.
After that I gave these leaves the circular form and finaly soldered them making the round hoop.

The Pine is a sterling silver brooch from the "Bosque" series ("Bosque" is the Portuguese word for Woods).
Pines grow well in acid soils, some also on calcareous soils. Most require good soil drainage, preferring sandy soils, but some tolerate poorly drained wet soils. A few are able to sprout after forest fires, and some species of pines even need fire to regenerate.

The Carob Tree is a sterling silver brooch from the "Bosque" series ("Bosque" is the Portuguese word for Woods).
The term "carat", the unit by which gem weight is measured, is also derived from the Greek word kerátiοn, alluding to an ancient practice of weighing gold and gemstones against the seeds of the carob tree by people in the Middle East. The system was eventually standardized, and one carat was fixed at 0.2 grams.

After the piece was ready, I gave it a silver oxide immersion.
Note that this kind of immersion gives the piece a non uniform color and this color will gradate in sensual tones with the use and the time passing by.

The Partenon Earrings are completely made in silver and mahogany wood.
This piece combines the delicacy of the filigree and the geometrical form of the wood pieces, that ends having the main importance in this pair of earrings.
I started to make the exterior structure of the earrings and then filled the top with filigree.
After the finishes were made, I used mahogany wood to fill the pre-defined places fot the rectangle and the triangle.
The wood figures were finally covered with a translucent resin, so the piece is impermeable.
The filigree technique makes this piece very light and comfortable to use.

The Sweet Orange Necklace is completely handmade in silver and mahogany wood.
I started to make the exterior structure of the orange and then filled it with filigree.
After the finishes were made, I used mahogany wood to fill the leaves.
The leaves are covered with a translucent resin, so the piece is impermeable.
The filigree technique makes this piece very light and comfortable to use.
The dimensions of the pendant are approximatly 1,7 cm x 1,4 cm and the complete necklace has 24,5 cm of length.

The Triple Meteorite Ring

I started to sculped the triple meteorite in wax. After that I made a rubber mold and then injected it in silver. Finally I made the silver ring and completed the piece.
The acabments give special relevance to the edges of the poligons, what gives this ring a frugal and feminine elegance.

The Tie Bow Gallant Filigree Necklace

The Tie Bow Gallant Filigree Necklace is totally handmade in silver and mahogany wood.

I started to make the exterior structure of the tie bow and then filled it with filigree.

After making the silver chain I used a mahogany wood in the center of the piece and covered it with resin so the necklace remains impermeable to the water.

This piece is very light as the result of the filigree technique.

The size of the tie bow it’s approximately 3,2 cm x 2,4 cm and the length of the necklace approximately 25 cm.

A peça cincovezesum é um colar que representa a mão enquanto principal elemento físico da contagem. É constituída por cinco esferas pequenas - que representam dedos ou contas - e uma esfera maior – que representa a mão ou a caixa que guarda as contas. A esfera maior pode desempenhar o papel de caixa e encerrar dentro as mais pequenas; nesta opção apenas está visível o fio de silicone e uma peça central. Por outro lado, a esfera maior pode integrar-se entre as mais pequenas constituindo, neste caso, mais um dos elementos de contagem.

The piece fivetimesone is a necklace that represents the hand as the first physical element of counting. It has five small spheres - that represent fingers or any object that helps in the counting -and a bigger sphere - that represents the hand or the box that contains the objects. The big sphere can have the small spheres inside; in this option you only see the silicone thread and a central piece. Moreover, the big sphere can be integrated between the smallers, being, this way, one more of the counting elements.
